Was That Noah?!

A few facts we discovered in the Bible that are not often mentioned in the story of Noah (Genesis 6):
  • Noah was 480 years old when God told him to build the ark
  • It took 120 years to build
  • In addition to building the ark, God tasked Noah with gathering enough food for his family and the animals while in the ark
  • Noah was 600 years old when everything was finished
  • It is estimated that 45,000 animals were able to fit on the ark
  • The ark was about the size of 1.50 football fields and about 4 stories high
  • Water came from underground as well as from the sky
  • Noah, his family, and the animals were in the ark for just over a year before God said it was okay to come out
Below are just a few examples of God's rainbow reminding us of His promise.
