We learned about Jesus' first temptation in the wilderness. Imagine not eating for forty days and forty nights, and how LOUD your tummy would growl! Then someone who tests your patience shows up trying to get you off track of God's plan by following THEIR plan. They try to catch you off guard while you're weak. Jesus wasn't going to let anything take Him off God's track. Jesus knew His needs would be met by His Heavenly Father, even through difficult times. And He didn't have to prove Who He was ... He KNEW Who He was. We, too, can be tempted to meet a need the world's way. Instead, we should pray, trust in God's way, trust in God's timing, and follow God's plan. DON'T TRUST THE WORLD'S WAY! Be confident in who God created you to be, and not someone the world is trying to tell you to be. We read Matthew 6:25-34. Do you believe what it says? Kids at Calvary Chapel Markesan do! After our lesson, we worked on the memory verse using pictures to help us remember - because knowing verses from the Bible can help us stay on God's track!
